Notes:
Collaboration with Horus Aged Ales
A Double Dry-Hopped Double IPA with Citra and Riwaka. Nice, layered herbaceous notes resulting from the Riwaka are complemented by powerful grapefruit flavors. Notes of citrus rind are followed by a dry finish, with undertones of passionfruit throughout.

Pours a very large head, half a pint glass easily, kind of cream white shade, surface pocked by a host of larger bubbles but retention is good, super thin but sticky lacing. Full haze to the liquid, however, it remains translucent rather than opaque, color is lighter yellow rather than apricot orange. In the nose the marijuana level dankness is laser focused and penetrating and once it blows through it leaves plenty of room for more gregarious tangerine citrus and mango, peach, guava fruit scents, good deal of pine sap too. Medium-bodied, the carbonation causes an initial crashing wave through mouth entry and then it smoothes out appreciably through to the finish even as said carbonation tickles away. The dankness still has that blunt power as in the nose yet it is woven into the whole much better. A few biscuit notes soften the edges. Pink grapefruit, tangerine add tang and there's average juiciness in the mango, melon, kiwi, passion fruit flavors. To me this beer is every bit about textures as flavors. Which works better closer to ice cold than warmer and more diffuse. (Canned 9/8/21)

16oz can dated 9/9/21.
Pours hazy yellow with a short head of white. Minimal retention or lacing. Tangerine, pineapple, and white grape in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Tropical citrus on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Honeydew, pear and lemon-lime on the palate. Finishes fairly dry with lingering juicy citrus.
