Conditioned with coconut and vanilla bean. Dark chocolate truffle notes are followed by bold, roasty characteristics, with flavors reminiscent of coconut macaroons on the finish. Subtle vanilla undertones are present throughout, and a chocolatey bitterness complements the silky, full body on this stout.

16 oz can.
The pour is just black. As black as the emptiness of the eternal void. No head whatsoever. Has some chunks of...something along the glass. It's not lacing though. For a 12% stout this is forgivable.
Coconut dominates the aroma: Macaroons, coconut shavings, and mounds bars. There's a touch of vanilla but it's slightly overpowered by chocolate. Lightly boozy, but not overly so.
The flavor is all about them macaroons. You ever had a coconut macaroon before? Do yourself a favor. The vanilla is stronger on the taste. Finishes with some dark chocolate and chocolate brownies. Nothing complex, but very good. Boozy, but not overly so.
The body is full and slightly chewy. Low carbonation. Plenty of alcohol warmth but that's to be expected. Smooth and dry. Surprisingly low on the syrup. Great for the style.
Overall, this is a great imperial stout. The coconut asserts itself right away, but the vanilla comes along later and is like "sup". Nice chocolate character throughout. Not an easy drinker but you can't expect that with this ABV. Definitely worth trying.
