Scored a single 16oz can recently at The Beer Store in Nashua for $4.00. Canned on 13DEC23...
Pours a rich, very dark chestnut color; basically opaque! Has a rocky 1/2" slab of mocha-hued foam sitting on top. Slowly ebbs down to a covering layer with solid lacing. Has a super aroma, with semisweet malts, brown bread, dark choco and cocoa. Body is medium to medium-plus, with a mostly prickle-free feel on the tongue.
Taste has lots of malt.... semisweet all the way, no cloying action. Has a mix of cocoa powder, dark choco, mocha and espresso. Finish is ever so slightly bitter, with earthy, lightly floral hopping. A solid Doppelbock! Prost!!

Pours a deep, dark brown from the can, brief 1" had that settles down to a thick tan ring with decent life; no lacing. Was surprised off the bat how dark this was for the style. Nose is raisin, cocoa, dark chocolate, marmite, floral hop. Taste is cocoa powder, sweet cooked raisin, brown bread crust. Finish had mild bitterness but lots of lingering sugar. Feel is on the heavy side with light, creamy carbonation; sticky and tacky. Not a ton of depth here, but appreciate a brewery trying on some new styles.

Pours a dark brown fizzy almost 1 finger head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, very dark color for bock, dark brown mahogany to chocolate color
Nose plenty of toasted biscuity malts, toasted bread crust and chocolate pastry, cocoa, spices, hint of roasted coffee, a bit of sweet toffee and caramel, molasses even, hint of dark fruits like candied chocolate raisin
Taste brings plenty of malt, brown toasted sweet malts, more of the toffee and molasses up front, a bit nutty, chocolate sauce, caramel, sweet bread crust, hint of coffee on the back end with some bitter roast notes, a bit of dried fig raisin fruit but more like chocolate covered raisins and sugar with that, syrupy sweet, a touch of perfumy alcohol, coats the mouth and sticks to it forever, sweet finish
Mouth is fuller bod, but syrupy sweet sticky, med to lower carb, light warming alcohol
Overall this was a rare miss for Foam brewers, waaaaay too sweet and syrupy for a doppelbock, this presents more like a new brewer that jumped on the bandwagon and knows nothing of traditional beers, this is the sweet bomb for the American palate and not a doppelbock, even the color was way too dark. Sorry, it's just not!

16 ounce can.
Canned on 12/13/23.
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a black body with sticky lacing.
Nose of almost burnt toast, chocolate, and slight coffee.
Taste mirrors nose, minus the burnt toast, with chocolate in the forefront,
finishing with roasted malt, bitter chocolate, and slight coffee.
Good mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
Overall, a real tasty offering from Burlington, VT and should not be overlooked!
Cheers!!
