A beautifully cascading pour. You'll get a subtle coffee roast on the nose, with hints of brown bread coming through. The finish is smooth and creamy. Looks beautiful in the glass. Crack a cold one, let it settle for a second or two while you hear the nice soft hiss, then pour it hard and watch that cascade build into a pillowy head. Our first widget can nitro stout.

Canned 2026/02/12
Cracking the can is a bit too aggressive and it starts foaming over the top before I pour, then typical nitro upside down waterfall that is very slow, even more so than usual, and basically completely stops with a 2.5 finger head, jet black beer
Nose starts with typical nitro aroma, creamy nitro that overpowers the beer a bit, some roast, coffee, a bit of cocoa,
Taste starts with some creamy nitro, not overpowering at least, more roasted malts, roasted coffee, hint of cocoa and baking spices, a little sweet caramel coffee cream, light bitterness, coffee ground dust, soft finish with a bit more bitterness
Overall OK, typical Irish dry stout but nitro widget didn't seem to work as well in this case, nitro character over powered the nose a bit as well. Something I would like to try on draft someday
Mouth is med bod, quite creamy with almost no bubbles in the actual beer,

I’ve opened two and both made a huge mess, once even spraying my ceiling, and hitting the floor 10 feet away, straight from the fridge. Strong coffee flavor, exceptionally creamy (what was left in the can).

From a Nitro charged can, poured into a Nonic. Abundant foam and a big mess on the opening.
In the glass, the typical cascading Nitro foam and upwelling that produces a beautiful head.
The roasted malt has a slightly earthy and dry taste with hints of cocoa and coffee.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth.

Drinking out of a small snifter .
Pours a dark black with a thick full tan head.
Smells of dark toast with a hint of coffee.
Good smooth mouth feel.
Dry in the mouth. Taste has some suggestion of coffee.
