This classic Belgian-style Witbier pours a hazy, pale yellow, exuding a warm, inviting aroma that mingles fresh wheat with notes of ripe banana, bright citrus, and subtle spices. On the palate, delicate hints of coriander and a touch of white pepper unfold, perfectly balanced by lively, zesty carbonation that lifts each sip. The beer finishes clean and dry, leaving a refreshing, crisp impression. An ideal pairing for spicy Asian dishes or savory snacks, this Witbier enhances flavors while offering its own intriguing complexity.

473 mL can from Walmart, included in a Creemore mixed pack - along with their excellent Kellerbier, which has been hard to find in recent years. Coded Mar 9 2023 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a hazy, translucent pale golden-blonde colour, with countless flecks of sediment hovering throughout the liquid. It's capped off with just over an inch of smooth, foamy white head that seeps off within three or four minutes' time, coating the glass with a ring of messy, sticky lace as it recedes. Afterwards, a sudsy cap and thin collar remain - looks good to me. Subtle aroma of clean, wheaty grains and coriander spiciness, with hints of lemon, bubblegum, grassy hops and white pepper.

It tastes along the same lines: wheaty cereal grains and coriander at the forefront, joined by notes of lemon & orangepeel, as well as hints of banana and crackery sweetness. Shades of grassy hay at the finish, with faint citrus peel dissipating into a spicy, wheaty aftertaste that dries off quickly. Light-medium in body, with assertive carbonation that remains prickly & active well into the session; feels crisp and quite refreshing, like a witbier should feel.

Final Grade: 3.91, a B+. Creemore's Witbier is darn good, but I think I'd still take my old standby (Hoegaarden) over this particular wit. Don't get me wrong: Creemore's is well-brewed, very approachable, and includes everything you'd expect out of a wit - though personally, more citrus peel would always be welcome. A worthy summer session ale that I'd eagerly buy as a single, assuming it becomes available in that format.

Poured a 473ml can into a pint glass. A big three finger fine white head on a cloudy pale apricot. The head stick=s around. Lots of rocky lacing.
Citrus and yeast smells.
Lots of coriander up front. Orange peel. Dry. A very slightly sour finish.
Medium body and carbonation.
A classic Witbier. More sour than most.
