another low alcohol table saison or grisette type here, this time with marionberries and hibiscus and secondary fermented on brett, complex and immaculately refined, wow. stunning stained glass pink color from the tap, gorgeously clear, rose toned, short white headed, and looking lovely in the tulip glass. the aroma here is herbaceous and lush and tea forward, the hibiscus popping, light jammy and vinous character to the fruit, but its in service of the flower to my nose, a raspberry tang is here too, and quite subtle funk. all very springy and delicate. the flavor is great too, again more hibiscus than marionberry, but both certainly stand out to me, especially with the malt profile being basically nonexistent in this, they are unperturbed by any grain sweetness or weight. the ferment is somewhat subtle, i do get the brett but it seems mild or maybe young, and without heavying oak or anything the funk is minimal, light tang from the berries, a soft white pepper ester that i picked up in a few of their other saisons, a house strain at work most likely, and a little cranberry twang too at the end. pretty good carbonation but this could be ramped up slightly in this style, love when they just sing on the palate. very mellow, mild, floral, and easy drinking beer, big on nuance but also highly approachable. as dialed in from an execution standpoint as anything they make, very very good.
