Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Triple / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $7.19 (10 pct. off $7.99 because of a mixed 6-pack)
From: San Diego Wine & Beer Company in Miramar (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 15, 2021
Consumed: Jan. 15, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 17, 2020
Grabbed this and five other cans on recent trip to San Diego Wine & Beer Company after picking up some other stuff at Burgeon. Specifically picked out two Humble Sea Hazy TIPAs, including this one. Online description that I found called it a “Hop-Fused Foggy Triple IPA double dry-hopped and fused with Citra, Galaxy, and Vic Secret.” Not a fan of Vic Secret at all but came around on Galaxy so maybe there’s a chance. But Humble Sea…
Poured a light-to-medium foggy (you have to use fog for Humble Sea) color with 2-to-3 fingers of white-to-off-white frothy head. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Got a mixture of Vic Secret and Galaxy right away. In order Vic Secret, Galaxy, passion fruit, papaya, herbal, menthol, melon, Citra, pine, peach, grapefruit, mint, grass and citrus zest. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just as good as the nose. In order got Vic Secret, Galaxy, passion fruit, peach, papaya, pine, Citra, grapefruit, herbal, menthol, lemon, melon, mint, grass and citrus zest. Fairly smooth for 10.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
An excellent New England Triple IPA, even with Vic Secret. Just lovely. (Overall - 4.25)

Easily one of my favorite triples from Humble Sea, the year 2020 saw them start their Harry Potter series which was a bunch of different DIPAS and TIPAS with this being one of the very first released. A mixture of many different hops what made this so memorable was the sweetness that this acquired, there was cantaloupe/sweet melon taste to this that made is so easy to drink despise the high abv of 10%.

This pours a really cloudy grayish yellowish color with an admirable peak of foam. Lush mouthfeel with massive fizz and the slippery feeling. Then the blast of hops. Aroma is so over the top, but it's quite likeable with peach, citrus, and honeydew melon. The taste is hop overload, with sharp acidity and citrus peel harshness.
Quite sweet, probably for the best. Overall this is a monstrous big New England-style brew with endless hops. It's actually quite sippable, with tolerable bitterness and a less extreme acidity than many of these hazy IPAs. From the 16 oz can shipped from City Beer Store.
