Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (air) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received: Sept. 18, 2022
Consumed: Oct. 9, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Sept. 14, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description for this one was “We teamed up with some of New York’s finest fog masters, combining both breweries malt bill approaches and heavily-hopped with some hop faves for some serious creamy tropical vibes. DDH Hop-Fused Foggy DIPA double dry-hopped and fused with Citra and Motueka.”
Poured a bright golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy-to-fizzy off-white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass but mostly a calm setting underneath. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Citra, orange creamsicle, grapefruit, lemon-lime zest, Motueka, pineapple, tangerine, mango, floral and peach. Not quite as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Citra, orange creamsicle, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon-lime zest, Motueka, mango, guava, floral, orange blossom, peach, stone fruit and papaya. Pretty smooth for 8.6 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Another solid offering from Humble Sea (and Equilibrium). (Overall - 4.25)

Decent head production, retention, and lacing. Brew is hazy, cloudy, and opaque, and a lovely dark yellow color similar to mango flesh.
Lovely bright and herbal aroma - grassy and green. Lighter notes of orange and mango add some juiciness.
A bit pungent and earthy up front, before it all of a sudden punches you with a massive amount of sweet fruity juiciness. Mango, pineapple, lemon, mandarin orange, cream, papaya, melon. The emphasis is on tropical fruit is massive. Low perceived bitterness.
Smooth and creamy; fairly full bodied, but with a nice enough bite and sting.
