Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $6.75
From: Bottlecraft Beer Shop in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: April 13, 2021
Consumed: April 22, 2021
Misc.: Canned on March 29, 2021
Grabbed one of these after picking up a few at Bottlecraft for a quick mini-can share at Sonny’s with Darin in town. Had meant to bring this one over instead of the Hazy TIPA one I brought instead. Back of the can read “Foggy Double India Pale Ale double dry-hopped with Copper, Mosaic, Galaxy, & Motueka.” Basically was in when I saw Copper, which I believe I’d had twice before and liked it. Throw in those other hops and was really looking forward to it.
Poured a light golden foggy (you have to use fog for Humble Sea) color with four fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see some bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
It’s been a while, but got those Copper hop notes right away, including Hawaiian fruit punch, passion fruit and cherry candy. Also Galaxy, Mosaic, peach, nectarine, rose blossom, raspberry, Red Vine, floral and some coconut. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted Copper hops (missed you), Hawaiian fruit punch, passion fruit, cherry chewy candy, strawberry, Red Vine, Galaxy, Mosaic, peach, nectarine, red grapefruit, tropical fruit and hints of coconut. Super smooth for 8.8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
I’m admittedly a sucker for Copper hops, but this was at least excellent. Probably underrated it. (Overall - 4.25)

Sweet, tropical hoppy, lemony citrus, and piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a juicy-sweet, tropical hoppy, and lemony-piney citrus bitter finish...some malty sweetness starts to pop up after a while. This is juicy and tasty and hides the big ABV well! (Can and Untappd say this is 8.8% ABV)
