Untappd description read “Foggy IPA double dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, and Chinook.” Rad details were “Old classic with some orange cream vibes; does not contain lactose.” I’m a sucker for orange creamsicle beers so was looking forward to this one.

Poured a medium golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams creeping up the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled big orange creamsicle, orange sherbet, blood orange, vanilla, cream soda and sugary orange frosting. For the mentioned hops, could really only pick out Citra on the nose. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

The taste wasn’t as good as the nose. A little too artificial though. In order got orange creamsicle, orange sherbet, blood orange peel, vanilla, cream soda, sugary orange frosting and lime. Still was really only getting Citra and even some El Dorado (not mentioned). (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, creamy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

This was outstanding for what it was. Glad I tried it. (Overall - 4.00)

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.

S: Orange and vanilla cream jump right out, followed by zesty citrus, soft pine, tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Citrus, sweet orange leads, backed with zesty lemon and lime, solid hit of vanilla cream, soft pine, hints of tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, guava, and passion fruit. biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate with a bit of a creamy feel to it.

O: Doing a flavored IPA can be tricky, hitting the notes you want while not losing the base beer. They nailed this one. It definitely feel like you've been alternating sips of S&S with bites of Creamsicle. Super fun one to try. I hope it comes back for summer.
