Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (earth) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received Dec. 28, 2021
Consumed: Dec. 28, 2021
Misc.: No canned on date; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (1/2)
Untappd description was “DDH Foggy DIPA with Mosaic, Simcoe, Galaxy & Nectaron.” Was looking forward to that hop combo.
Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class layered foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy lacing. (Sight - 4.50)
Was really liking the smell. Galaxy jumped out, followed by Mosaic and Nectaron. Specifically got peach, nectarine, tangerine, passion fruit, tropical fruit punch, rose blossom, floral, raspberry, dank pine and wet grass. Not quite as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted pretty damn good. Damn. In order got Galaxy, Mosaic, Nectaron, light Simcoe, peach, nectarine, tangerine, passion fruit, tropical fruit punch, rose blossom, floral, mixed berry, dank pine and wet grass. Pretty smooth for 8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just a lovely hazy DIPA. Slightly underrated this overall too. (Overall - 4.50)
