Stopped at San Diego Wine & Beer Company on the way home from a work function. Intended to pick up six cans to get the 10 pct. off but almost $60 later I came away with eight cans. I love Humble Sea’s hazy triple IPAs so was looking forward to this one. Back of the can read “Triple India Pale Ale hop fused with Mosaic, Cashmere, Galaxy, & Citra.”
Poured a bright light golden hazy color with three fingers of rocky white head. Pretty calm underneath with just a few noticeable bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Cashmere, lemon, lime, Mosaic, licorice, peach skin, Galaxy, apricot and grapefruit peel. A little better from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got Cashmere, licorice, lemon, lime, Mosaic, Galaxy, peach skin, apricot, grapefruit peel, Fruity Pebbles and passion fruit. Pretty smooth for 10.3 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Underrated this overall, but it was at least outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
