Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (air) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received April 23, 2022
Consumed: May 6, 2022
Misc.: Canned on April 13, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description for this one was a DDH West Coast IPA with rad details of “Meant to be nice and dry with moderate not over the top bitterness. Harnessing some classic West Coast hop vibes such as Mosaic along with our fave, Nectaron.” Mosaic and Nectaron? Sign me up.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 5-to-6 fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect foamy spiderweb lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled peach, nectarine, Nectaron, mixed berry, Mosaic, floral, passion fruit, grapefruit rind, earthy malt and peppery spice. About the same from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Definitely a West Coast IPA. In order got earthy malt, peach, Nectaron, bitter grapefruit rind, passion fruit, viney mixed berry, Mosaic, mango, floral, peppery spice and orange. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
A nice West Coast IPA from Humble Sea. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)

Clean, carbonated, tropical notes, yet bitter enough to not bore you to tears. Crisp, bitter aftertaste. Love this beer. It’s a consistent go to.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and hint of mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical fruity hoppy, slightly muddled, piney hoppy finish. This is decent, but I'm a little disappointed that, even though it is DDH'd, the maltiness outshines and interferes with enjoying the hop profile on the backend...
