Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received April 2, 2022
Consumed: April 8, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Vitamin Sea; Canned on March 15, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description was “DDH Hop-Fused Foggy DIPA with Citra, Vic Secret & Nectaron.” Nice.
Poured a light golden hazy color with 6-to-7 fingers of rocky white head. Could see some slow-moving bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Citra and Vic Secret right away. Specifically grapefruit, lime, herbal, grass, viney berry, Nectaron, nectarine, peach and stone fruit. Much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Vic Secret, Citra, viney berry, grapefruit, lime, herbal, grass, Nectaron, nectarine, peach, stone fruit, passion fruit and pineapple. That 8.2% was pretty well hidden. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Might have slightly underrated this overall but I enjoyed it. (Overall - 4.00)
