Picked up a can of this while at Bottlecraft North Park. Meant to get it on my last trip there but didn’t forget the next time I went. Untappd’s description was a “DDH Hop Fused Foggy with TIPA Galaxy, Citra, & Nelson. After shooting the ish with Justen from Electric, we realized our TIPA techniques and recipes styles are very similar, so we combined our favorites to create a pungent hefty TIPA with big hot side saturation from multiple Citra products along with multiple dry hop additions of Citra, Galaxy and Nectaron.” Damn, sounded legit.
Poured a light golden hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding foggy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Really liked the smell of this beer. In order got Citra, Nectaron, Nelson and Galaxy, all present. Specifically got nectarine, peach, stone fruit, pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, passion fruit and papaya. About as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Nectaron, Nelson, Galaxy and Citra for mentioned hops, all present. Specifically got peach, nectarine, stone fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya and guava. Super smooth for 10.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Another really good Humble Sea (and Electric) hazy TIPA. (Overall - 4.25)
