Untappd description for this one was a “DDH Hop Fused Foggy DIPA with Nectaron, Galaxy & Vic Secret.” That’s one of my favorite hops (Nectaron), one that I’ve slowly come around on (Galaxy) and me least favorite (Vic Secret). Let’s see what wins out.
Poured a bright light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Calm setting underneath with no noticeable bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Nectaron, passion fruit, dank pine, resin, Galaxy, peach, pineapple, grapefruit, viney berry, Vic Secret, cotton candy, fruit punch, guava and mango. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was about as good as the nose. In order got Nectaron, peach skin, nectarine, dank pine, resin, Galaxy, cotton candy, passion fruit, fruit punch, guava, viney berry, Vic Secret, pineapple, grapefruit, mango blossom and hints of peppery spice. Was a boozy 8.4 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, astringent finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Another outstanding offering from Humble Sea. (Overall - 4.00)
