West Coast IPA with Amarillo, Chinook, Mosaic, & Simcoe
A super punchy WC with a little abv for depth and balance with the dry and bitter nature of this recipe. Aggressively hopped with some old school and new school WC favorites when it comes to hops.

Glass: North Park 400-ml. Rastal Lawrence tumbler (red) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received: Nov. 23, 2022
Consumed: Dec. 1, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 1, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description for this one was a “DDH WC IPA, Double Dry Hopped w/ Amarillo, Chinook, Mosaic, Simcoe.”
Poured a light amber clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass at different speeds. World-class foamy spiderweb lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
For the mentioned hops, Amarillo stood out, followed by Mosaic and Simcoe. Specifically got orange rind, tangerine, peach, pine, floral, mixed berry, papaya, garlic, onion and black pepper. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was about as good as the nose. In order got Amarillo, Simcoe, dank pine, black pepper, aspirin, Mosaic, orange rind, tangerine, peach, floral, mixed berry, papaya, garlic, onion and dry grass. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just a solid West Coast IPA. Slightly underrated this overall too. (Overall - 4.25)

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Herbal, grassy, resinous spicy pine, citrus zest, light underlying tropical and stone fruit, a bit floral, crackery slightly bready malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Leads with a mix of slightly dank grassy herbal notes, spicy resinous pine, and citrus zest, lemon, grapefruit, and a touch of orange, followed by some underlying tropical and stone fruit, apricot, passion fruit, mango, and papaya, a bit floral, crackery bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly oily.
O: Drinks like a slightly modernized take on a classic West Coast IPA. Not my favorite from them, but still rock solid. I got into it more once it opened up.
