Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (air) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received: Jan. 5, 2023
Consumed: Jan. 7, 2023
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 2, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description for this one was a “DDH West Coast IPA with YCH 301, Nectaron, and Mosaic.” Not sure I’ve had YCH 301 before, which looking online is not a hop but “combines the ground-breaking concept of Frozen Fresh Hops and the innovative technology of Cryo Hops® to pioneer a new way to brew fresh hop ales with a pelletized product.”
Poured a pale yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky-to-frothy head. Could see a handful of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost-perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Damn. Loved this smell. Got big dank resin, pine, skunky weed, Nectaron, peach, stone fruit, Mosaic, mixed berry, grapefruit peel and lingering black peppery spice. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.75)
Taste wasn’t nearly as good as the nose but that would be hard to live up to. In order got dank resin, skunky weed, pine, Nectaron, peach, stone fruit, Mosaic, grapefruit peel, mixed berry and lingering black peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
God damn this was good for a West Coast IPA. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is '12/02/22'.
Partly cloudy, straw colored body. One thick finger of white head recedes to a puffy cap and ring. Leaves behind rings of lacing.
Aroma of dank hops and sweet supporting malts.
Taste is a fruity hop bomb, tropical and sweet. Does not have a rear end. Any bittering (minor) comes in late and lingers into the aftertaste.
Thicker than medium mouth feel. Weak carbonation.
Narrow range IPA with lots of fruit expressions but without bittering balance.
