Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (fire) glass
Price: $20 for three Humble Sea beers (part of $80 monthly deal for three 4-packs)
From: Humble Sea Brewing Company in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received: Nov. 23, 2022
Consumed: Dec. 9, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 17, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Untappd description for this one was a “DDH Hop Fused Foggy DIPA (8.5%) with Nectaron, Nelson, Mosaic and Riwaka. This batch was brewed with a ton of flaked oats and malted wheat, and very aggressively hopped with some of our best hops and hop products, including our selected Mosaic cryo.” Sounded delicious.
Poured a medium golden foggy (Humble Sea, so has to be foggy) color with five fingers of rocky white head. Could see a few bubbles coming along the sides of the glass. World-class layered lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled pretty damn good. In order got Nectaron, peach, nectarine, apricot, tangerine, Nelson, Tang, orange rind, Mosaic, floral, mixed berry, rose blossom, mango, guava, red grapefruit and the mentioned Riwaka. The can smelled just as good. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just as good as the nose, maybe even better. In order got Nectaron, peach, nectarine, apricot, Nelson, tangerine, orange rind, floral, Mosaic, mixed berry, rose blossom, mango, guava, red grapefruit and the mentioned Riwaka. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Damn. With these hops I knew it was going to be good and this didn’t let me down. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Big time ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, juicy citrus, a hint of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit pineapple, peach, gooseberry, guava, blueberry, white grape, and dare I say a hint of star fruit, juicy zesty citrus, lemon lime and tangerine, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy smooth.
O: That hop combo is pushing all the right buttons and giving tons of great fruity flavor. Sits a little sweeter than I'd prefer, but I'd still happily drink another.
