16oz can in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. Canned 02/19/25. @Roguer sent it to me as a bribe to sow chaos.

Pours clear golden with a dense, creamy 2cm head. Smell is mild campfire woodsmoke and nuts, a little yeasty bread in the background.

Taste is grainy and sweet with honey bbq notes, crisp grassy bitterness lurking around in there, plenty of woodsmoke.

Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Very nice beer.

On tap at Fox Farm

So I finally got to visit the legendary Fox Farm. Unfortunately it has to be a quick visit as I’m just stopping through on the way to a concert. Regardless, I’ve been wanting to visit for years so I’m just happy to be here. Let’s see what their smoke game is all about

Pours a clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing

It’s not super smoky in the nose, but the subtlety makes for a good balance. I’m picking up on aromas of beechwood smoke, crackery malt, white pepper, lemon zest, honey, raw grain, and light wheat

Similarly in taste it isn’t too snoky, and it’s still damn good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting bready malt, lemon zest, white pepper, beechwood smoke, herbal hops, raw grain, and light honey. The swallow brings notes of biscuity malt, white pepper, lemon zest, herbal hops, raw grain, earthy wheat, and campfire smoke

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out over time

This is damn solid. Gentle but in a nuanced way

This beer pours a slightly unfiltered golden straw color with a creamy white head that coats the glass. Smoke is immediately notable when you pop the can open, and is present on the nose after the pour, along with lemongrass and a bready note. Very nice.

I was worried that the smoke would dominate the taste, but it lingers in the background like a skilled supporting actor/actress, letting the lemongrass and bready malt flavors assume their starring role, and adding depth and character to the beer as a supporting flavor. This is exceptionally well executed.

The mouthfeel is very crisp, making for an exquisitely drinkable lager. I could drink this for days.

16 oz can poured into a willi becher glass. Pours a pale straw yellow with a moderate head. Decent retention and lacing. Aroma features light malt, light hoppiness, and a hint of smoke. Basically smells like a helles lager that's spent some time around a campfire and hasn't taken a shower yet. Flavor is just a bit stronger on the "rauch"-ness. Mouthfeel is smooth and moderately carbonated. Overall it's a delicate take on the style, and very drinkable.
