We’ve been looking forward to this one for some time. Pip fills a small but significant void in our lager lineup, that of a low-ABV (4.2%) but characterful pale lager. We’re already wondering how we've managed this long without it. Pip draws equally from Czech and German brewing traditions without strictly adhering to either. It takes cues from both Quiet Life and Gather while standing alone in many ways including a gentle whirlpool addition of Callista hops throwing subtle grapefruit and stone fruit. We think you’ll love it but we can say for certain, Pip is going to be taking up some serious real estate in our personal coolers this summer.

10/18/23 can from the brewery in Salem, CT. Pours an almost clear straw gold with two fingers of rocky white head, nice lacing; smell and taste is crackery malts, mildly herbal and floral grassiness; light to thin, soft carbonation. An understated and quaffable lager with a grassy edge.

Crisp clean and refreshing lager. Not the best at fox farm, but leagues ahead of most other breweries. Very dry and clean, no off flavors, good malt taste

canned on 02/01/23. tallboy pint can poured into dimpled mug.
Appearance: pale light golden bodied beer. Frothy and creamy bone white head. Lots of sticky lacing. Strong head retention happening here.
Smell: Toasty grains and breaded malts. Complex grain profile and you can smell it. Clean lager yeast.
Taste: Fresh baked bread and cracker malts impart light sweetness. A balanced hop finish mainly of grapefruit zest and hints of herbal and earthy hop notes. Stunning balance here. A tad of lingering light bitterness. Clean finish that begs for another sip.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied beer with moderate carbonation levels. Carbonation is soft and delicate. This is a very nice texture of this lager.
Overall: Very enjoyable lager here from Fox Farm. The aroma is deliciously inviting. The balance of the malt and hop in this lager is very well done. Fox Farm Lager game continues to impress me.

Look...Pale yellow with a white fizzy head and a bit of haze.
Smell...light light hop smell. very faint but never unpleasant with some earthiness
Taste...citrus lemon bitter for sure. A never sweet corn syrup lager taste. A resemblance of a session IPA but to me reminiscent of pale ale more. and light on the tongue.
Feel....high level of carbonation that helps transcend to a good body with a lighter finish. Some lacing on the which provides a definable character.
Overall...This is such an easy beer to drink and does not take away the fact that it is well made and somewhat complex. I could see this beer getting easily and happily consumed with some regularity in the summer if I can make it out to Salem a few times. Excellent start to the beers I purchased . Cool place and atmosphere that I was looking forward to going to again

16oz can courtesy of Roguer.
Poured into my Olympia pilsner glass, it was a clear golden amber, with a lovely, eggshell-white head that was long-lived and left all sorts of lace.
Light, herbal, grassy hop scent and grainy malt aromas. Definitely a "less is more" approach.
Like the aroma, the taste is of a light, subtle attempt at a easily sessionable lager. FF was successful. The hoppiness is a little more citrusy than in the nose, but lightly so. Finishes dry and crisp.
Light bodied, with a crisp mouth feel.
A great session beer. A brewer's beer, as the saying goes. A great quaff during a lunch that must be followed by productive activity, but also one that doesn't scrimp on quality. I'd buy this regularly as a fridge beer if it was locally available.

Pours a hazed yellow-gold with close to two fingers of cream-colored head that settles into a lasting cap that leaves thick rings of lacing.
Grainy aroma with a touch of mint and a very slight skunkiness to it.
The graininess carries to the taste where it’s joined by a watered-down bitterness.
Medium bodied with a tight zippiness to the carbonation.
Starts out strong, but the beer doesn’t really stand up to its own bitterness. Instead of crisp and firm, it tastes dull. Not my favorite from these guys.

Thick, dense head. It settles fairly quickly. Good blanketing lace. Straw color with some cloudiness.
Grainy aroma with equal parts raw barley and pale barley malt.
Smooth and soft start with the malt flavors. No graininess. The hop is strong, leaving a bitter finish and long aftertaste. Higher carbonation with an average carbonation level.

Very clear, light straw color. Slightly over aggressive pour resulted in loads of dense, white head. Very good retention and outstanding lacing. Aroma is biscuits, grass & grain. Taste is herbs, grass, cracker and a really nice bit of peppery spice on the back end. Smooth, light and crisp. Perfect beer to enjoy outside on a nice day.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one, part of the slams delivered during NBS BIF #15. 16oz can (dated 8/25/210 poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very lightly hazy light gold color with an inch of white head that good retention and light lacing.
The aroma was fairly typical of a "lager"; earthy grains and lightly floral hops. Very similar on the tongue, solid grains light hops.
The body was as expected; light, smooth, crisp, with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was good, a nice, easy quaff. Overall, a nice little brew. Worth trying if you see it.
