My 2nd brew from Thin Man and both were courtesy of Beer Drop.
First the name... there can be nothing wrong with being Stranded In Brussels, particularly if you are a Belgo-phile like me.
Second, this is an unusual collaboration. Of all the 8000+ micros in the U.S. that de La Senne could have collaborated with, they picked one in New York's second city. Somebody made effort to put this collaboration together.
Third, the pale. There is a dryness that seems uniquely de La Senne. However to be sure, I'll have to do a side-by-side with the second can of Stranded. (My reviews sometimes lack subtlety on the dry factor... and 6 of the 11 de La Senne are retired... so finding their dry ales may be work.)
Fourth, Stranded was fine with appetizers which included spanakopita (cut thru the oil.) I will report on pairing the second can with a future dinner.
6/22/22 I wanted to compare this to a de la Senne, but good intentions not met. But I did pair the second can with my world-fam0us ratatouille and it did just fine. Stranded probably will not be a great table ale because Thin Man may not be able to maintain the yeast properly. Wish I had more copies. Counting @ UnTappd.
