YOJO 33 1/3 juiced up to an imperial level. Massive charges of Mosaic and Simcoe hops create bright flavors and aromas of pineapple, evergreen, peach, fresh herbs and passion fruit over a simple wheatish malt grist.

Consumed April 23, 2017. Imperialish Yojo. Knowing is half the battle.
Pours the familiar yellow golden beer color, slight chill haze to the clarity level. 1/3" white head. The nose pushes serious Mosaic weight. Passion fruit, peach notes alongside dank weed. Mosaic doing Mosaic things reliably here like in almost every Moonraker beer they use it in (and that's like 50 slightly different ipas).
Taste is pushed by a nice Simcoe bitterness furthering the same Mosaic tasting notes. Another Moonraker 8% beer that drinks just as easy as all those 4-5% ones you crush at the softball field because life comes at you fast when playing SS/3B in a slow pitch league. Mouth feel crisp and dry despite the counterpunching juicy hop flavors. Full on has all that 70ibu going for it, for the better. This wouldn't be as good if it were a gloop glub chowder ipa. I still prefer Yojo, but back in 2017 they couldn't keep any cans of it for more than a few hours, but this was often making it for 2-3 days before being all sold out. Good stuff.

We got a weird one right here, BA’s (and I’m just trying to figure out if that’s good or not). Kind of like my crush during my Jr. year at State, she looks good, but consarnit something was just off! And right here, 66 1/6 pours something beautiful, but the aftertaste is a lil wild. Instead of tropical fruits, it’s more of your run of the mill variety - orange, peach and lemon (which ain’t all that bad). But it’s the aftertaste that kind of leaves you perplexed like the end of an Antonioni film. Let’s go in for another sip... Yep. It’s something. But your boy can’t wrap his tongue around it! I guess you have to get your own sometime and give it a twirl.
Peace!

L: Pours a hazy orange color with over 2 fingers of a dense white cap. The head retained nicely, and as I consume the beverage, heaps of sudsy lacing cling to the glass. As far as NEIPA appearance goes, this is stellar.
S: Big fruit notes coming off the nose. Mango, nectarine, apricot, peach, melon and orange all radiate off. It smells juicy and inviting.
T: Really nice tasting beer. Big and bold fruit flavor up front, with emphasis on peach, melon, tangerine, mango, pineapple and apricot. Very zesty with a touch of fresh grass. Hop profile is unique and earthy, which seems to balance out the fruit presence.
F: Incredible feel. Medium in body, medium in weight but flirting on the full side. It is soft, pillowy, and luscious.
O: A really tasty beverage, and drinks deceptively well for the abv. I am thoroughly enjoying this. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Good nose and depth and a nice feel to it. It has a citrusy hoppy nose and smooth finish with a lingering bitterness at the end. Another good hazy from Moonraker, but not one of my go-to's.

Translucent straw yellow with an impressive medium coarse white foam. Persistent with decent lace.
Tropical fruit aromas with citrus rinds, a splash of pine, and a sweet and soured yogurt depth.
Flavor is collectively an "unripened" tropical fruit smoothie. Lots of peels with a light vanilla finish.
Smooth but light, with good carbonation and a sharp yet restrained bitter finish.
This seems very raw overall. It's good enough, but all in all I'm not the biggest fan. Cheers.

This is a DIPA from Moonraker. My second beer from them.
Pours beautifully, with a glowing light gold. I got a big burst of aroma from pouring, with a dominant guava note and some hints of pine and pith. The beer itself is rounded, with a touch of alcohol heat to remind you of its heft.

Canned 10th October, bought at The Beermongers.
A hazy light orange with a white head that falls off leaving nice lacing this looks solid. The nose is juicy with peach, Valencia orange, pineapple, a little vanilla and lemon mint. The palate opens juicy with a jailbreak blend off peach, pineapple and orange. The alcohol does amplify the pineapple juice character. Bitterness is minimal. The mid palate is smooth, wheat like with a fullness that manages to be light- plenty of scaffolding for the flavor but without the heft that comes with lower FG beers. Fruity and mildly boozy on the finish, this beer has lingering flavors of pineapple and peach. Medium light in body with soft carbonation, this beer is solid.

Thanks, Bill via Chad!
Got this from Chad (later found out it was actually from Bill and I wasn’t supposed to get it) after meeting him in Las Vegas for a work function. Chad and Bill also rave about Moonraker, and I was excited to get to try another, having given regular Yojo a 4.15 back on Nov. 15, 2016 (made it to Beer Advocate on Nov. 30, 2016). Beer description on the can read, “YOJO 33 1/3 juiced up to an imperial level. Massive charges of Mosaic and Simcoe hops create bright flavors and aromas of pineapple, evergreen, peach, fresh herbs and passion fruit over a simple wheatish malt grist.” Damn, Mosaic and Simcoe? Oh yeah.
Poured a hazy gold color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Good watery lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled floral, orange blossom, orange creamsicle, cane sugar, almost Smarties candy like, passion fruit, juicy peach, guava, apricot, sugary pineapple juice and melon. From the can got melon, cantaloupe, Mosaic and peach. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. In order got spicy Simcoe, orange creamsicle, floral, peach, apricot, melon, cane sugar, passion fruit, pineapple, Mosaic, cantaloupe, guava and green leaf. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Sugary, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was a solid beer for the style. Sweet as can be, but solid. (Overall - 4.00)
