Our Farmhouse Ale is named after the Twenty Mile Creek that winds its way throughout some of Ontario's finest vineyards, orchards, and farms in the Twenty Valley. Brewed in the saison style, our farmhouse ale has subtle notes of fruits and spice with a dry, crisp finish.

A great saison, with just enough tart funkiness pared with a very prickly mouthfell. Still drinks smoothly though.

Hazy straw colour with a decent head. Spicy Belgian yeast nose. Light effervescent body with some spicy notes. Be sure to swirl that can and add!

Twenty Mile Farmhouse Ale has a medium, spongy, white head, a hazy, lemon-yellow appearance, fierce bubbles, tan sediment chunks, and minimal lacing. Aroma is of spiced white bread, fruit, and horse blanket. The flavor is similar, and bitterness is low. Mouthfeel is medium, and Twenty Mile Farmhouse Ale finishes crisp and easy going.

Look is quite nice. Pours a pale gold with a full three fingers of head. Head breaks very slowly and leaves a thin layer of foam and generous lacing behind.

Smell is also on point for the style. Belgian yeast, candi, spices like pepper, corriander and more.

Taste is where the downfall begins. Taste brings across the yeast, but much of the other aromas are lost in the mix. I do get mild candi, and some spices but they are faint.

Feel is light and watery, unfortunately. The carbonation is a tad high, and the flavors just disappear resulting in a disappointing finish.

So, they got half the beer right. Unfortunately it didn't include flavor. With some refinement, I think this beer has potential.

Golden with very fine carbonation. Topped with 4 fingers of off-white head.

It smells of Belgian yeasts, phenols, pears, peaches, very much like a Belgian ale.

The taste follows the nose with hints of bubblegum, and green tea.

Light body, highly carbonated, with a dry, tannic finish.

Got at LCBO, drinking in Muskoka Feb. 3rd, 2018. True to style.

A: Opaque light banana cream yellow.

S: The smell reminds me of a witbier, it could be coriander or another spice. Some fruit and floral notes.

T: Similar to the smell and also hard to describe. That distinct spiciness is the most noticeable flavour. Overall flavour is balanced with some fruitiness and a subtle maltiness. Not very bitter.

F: Thick and very creamy in feel. Medium carbonation. Just slightly drying.

O: I'm certainly not qualified to discuss the flavours of this beer. It's not bad but it seems safe to say that this is not the style of beer for me.

light gold colour with a head that dissipates into a thin layer on the surface. Subtle hints of citrus fruit and spice on the nose. Light to medium body with high carbonation followed by a dry finish. Lemon and pepper coat the mouth with no bitterness but to much sourness. Refreshing but not outstanding.

473ml can from LCBO. Pours a light gold colour, with a frothy head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of grass, lemon, other fruits. Lots of carbonation - mouth feel is more like soda than beer. Taste is surprisingly lager-like, seems not quite right for a saison. Certainly has a refreshing quality, but the flavour notes don't really come together very well. Probably won't buy it again.

Can - pours a hazy pale gold ale in your glass with a 2 finger cap that quickly reduces to a surface film. Bright spicy nose with a good dose of dusty biscuit malts, light sweetness - Flavor is mainline North American saison - light pilsner malts, coriander well balanced with saaz hops and a clean dry finish - nice refresher, nothing really outstanding but decent.

A:
PoursĀ a hazy white gold with a billowing head of spritzy white foam that isn't long-lived. Not much retention to speak of; some lacing. (3.75)

S:
Bright citrus, sweetish dough, spicy/floral yeast notes. As it warms a little vegetal character comes out as well as some plastic- like phenols. (3.5)

T:
Full, rich flavor that follows the aroma. There is a faint tartness right off the bat and the doughiness is more central, vague nutri-sweet flavor. Same character develops as it warms as in the smell. (3.5)

M:
Light body with active carbonation and a pretty dry finish. (3.75)

O:
This beer is a decent saison at first glance, whiff, taste and feel. However as it warms a little it gets some extra dough flavor, flabbiness and phenolic character. Though it it's neither bad nor filled with off flavors, it does get progressively less enjoyable and less easy-drinking with each sip. (3.25)
