Our White Ale is named after the old Queenston to Grimsby Stone Road that originally brought Loyalist and Mennonite settlers to the Twenty Valley. Today, this historical path is part of the Niagara Wine Route and known as King Street or Regional Road 81, and also where we call home. With a hazy, white appearance, and aromas of lemon peel and spice, our Belgian-style wheat beer has a dry, refreshing finish.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from the Bench Henderson Collab Mixer boxset at my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Lincoln, ON brewery.

Hazy pale yellow with a modest head. Yeasty, spicy nose, not strong. Light wheat body with a good crisp feel. Needs some intensity.

Appearance - Pours a hazy gold with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - belgian yeast, clove, pepper, coriander, hint of orange, bready malts, and spicy floral hops.
Taste - belgian yeast followed by light flavours of clove, pepper, coriander, and hint of orange. The bready malts and spicy floral hops finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth and refreshing with the spices lingering.
Overall - An enjoyable Witbier that is definitely crushable. A little more zing from the spices and this brew would be a standout but other than that an enjoyable brew that is worth a try.

473 mL can from Superstore; dated Feb 25 2019 and served barely chilled.
Pours hazy lemon drop yellow, generating nearly a finger of frothy white foam that dissipates within two minutes' time. A modest collar of froth survives, along with a few swaths of lace; looks fine, but some head retention would be nice. It smells of wheat husk and gritty cereal grain sweetness, accompanied by hints of lemon peel, citrus pith, apples and coriander spiciness; I'm also getting hints of floral, spicy hops as well as an earthy quality.
More flavourful than I'd expect of 4.2% - citrusy hints of lemon and orange are perceptible right off the bat, backed by a wheaty, bready pale malt sweetness that lasts throughout. The citrus is joined by notes of stone fruit and banana by mid-sip, with suggestions of coriander and a mildly grassy, floral hop bitterness rounding out the finish; orange and apricot persist into the aftertaste. Light in body, with moderate carbonation levels that provide a gentle crispness; smooth in texture, with outstanding drinkability. A thirst-quenching beer that is ideally suited for the hottest days of summer.
Final Grade: 3.79, a B+. Bench's Stone Road White Ale is a well-crafted, extremely sessionable witbier that I'm sure I'll return to in the near future. This is a typically lightweight style to begin with, but Stone Road is exceptionally so, and all the more enjoyable because of it. It's not the best that this brewery has come up with, not by a long shot, but I finished my glass quickly and would recommend this to any BA who is seeking out a refreshing white ale for the patio, or the golf course, etc.

Appearance: A slightly hazy pale yellow that boasts ample carbonation in the body and produced two fingers of head that produce some minor lace, and retained modestly. Way too clear to call it a proper wit.
Smell: A mild light white wine with banana backed by mild citrus, coriander and a hint of grainy wheat malt. Warming did help it come out, but not by leaps and bounds. Potency is fairly solid.
Taste: The citrus and coriander take more of a front stage on this one as it starts out the beer. From there it transitions a bit awkwardly into grainy malt and banana before an earth hop bitterness tries to wrap things up.
Mouthfeel: The transitioning of this beer is an awkward, simply put as it lumbers around like a drunk. The carbonation is a big too high for something this light creating a bit of a seltzer effect. The aftertaste is fairly clean as the earthy end and a touch of wheat malt stays nicely in the aftertaste.
Drinkability: Very light bodied, and despite it's high carbonation it's not a gassy experience. Refreshing as a summer drinker should be, but good flavor to keep things interesting. That said, it's a little bit lighter then I like my wits to be.
Final Thoughts: A perfectly serviceable light wit, but that's really the thing. It's too light really for me to say this is a world shattering white. This would be an ideal drinker for a Football game, but a brew you savour it is not. I still give it one thumb up though.

Had a can of this at a Vineland Estates Winery seminar. Thanks to Nina and Jordan for the invite which allowed for this delicious sample. Served well chilled into a tasting hefeweizen glass. Review from notes. Good to see another brew from this up and coming brewery committed to doing things the right way. Looking forward to their ambitious endeavors in the future.
Appearance - A classic hazy orange colored beer with a decent amount of fluffy white head. Good retention.
Smell - Coriander and orange peel with some mild sweetness from the wheat. Nothing out of line here, quite solid and approachable.
Taste - Coriander and orange again, with wheat coming through. A little more bitterness than I'm used to in a wit, but tasty. Surprisingly intense for a wit with only 4.2% ABV. Well brewed.
Mouthfeel - Light with expressive carbonation. Easy to drink.
Overall - A fine experience that i look forward to sampling again when summer arrives and distribution improves.
