Picked this up around this time last year at KCBC, intrigued that this wasn't a New England-style IPA. Sure enough, that was the case when I gave this a go tonight as it was quite hard to discern what hops were in here. That's not to say that this was bad - as it wasn't - but there wasn't anything potent or memorable about this. The end result was a beer that was pleasant to drink but left me with no desire to reach for another...
Blonde, muted, and chalky in appearance, this was just as dry to the senses as it appeared to be upon first inspection. Mild farmhouse funk, lemon, soft spice, and a bit of yeast in the muted nose. This had enough sediment in it although that was probably my fault as I let this sit for a while before cracking it open! Very dry to the taste as it nearly felt like Brut, but without all of the accompanying carbonation. Almost felt like it had wheat in it as the dryness and spice was just a bit too much for me, even after this fully warmed up.
The amount of booze in here was on the mark as this needed a bit more heft in it than the initial impression that I got. Canned on 1/26 of this year with "FUSION COLLUSION" written above it, this felt like a Farmhouse Ale with mild spice and funk with an odd dankness that stuck around long after this went down. Loved the label but this was lacking a bit to be anything of note...

Tall can from DeCicco's in Millwood, NY - 1/26/18 stamped on the bottom
Pours light and hazy, gauzy off white, cap, film and low sheeting.
Lemony sniff
Super bright and flavorful, more lemony crispness, drying hops in the finish....nicely done and well worth a try
