Picked this up last year, letting it get lost in my stash before finally having it tonight. Love the two brewers that were involved in this collaboration and of course, I loved their end result as well. This was a fun, tasty brew that had tons of flavor and went down easily, without anything in particular to dislike about it.
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid looked as I expected it to - dank, golden, and muted. Plenty of head topped this off but amazingly, there was hardly any lacing to be seen once I started to work my way through this. Plenty of tropical fruit, lime, orange cream, and soft hops in the nose with more of those coming through in the taste. Soft as a pillow, this went down so smoothly as a mild floral and vegetal undertone came through as this warmed up. Some sweetness emerged once I finished this down as the carbonation was light and the malt was recessed enough as to hardly be noticed.
Lots of booze in here but you wouldn't know it by the way this felt and it was hard to detect on my palate once the liquid finally went down. No date on the bottom of the can but this felt and tasted fresh as it had the hallmarks of both breweries, which are quite good at cranking out New England IPA's that keep me coming back for me. This was one of those as it was a strong result of a wonderful collaboration, from start to finish!

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of floral and fruity hops are present in the nose—limes and papayas seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste follows the smell and fresh, bright flavors of floral and fruity hops really shine through. There is only a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very good example of a New England-style IPA. I really liked how the hops tasted fresh and bright. It was quite easy to drink for an Imperial IPA because any traces of alcohol were well hidden from the taste.
