No canning date
Pours a clean light gold with a slight tinge of haze; a finger and a half of soft, foamy white head crowns this one nicely, with some great lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is of light, dank hops on the outset, with a delicate type of herbal sweetness sneaking in; plenty of earthy tones in here as well, with some grape must, flower petals, and slight cedar notes making themselves known sporadically; composted mango and heavily dank hops are condensed throughout.
Taste is plenty of soft, balanced-out dank hops, forming a profile that becomes herbal, earthy, almost gritty, and yet still somehow delicate; quite a bit of composted citrus fruits, grape skins, white wine juice, and just plain dank earthiness abound here.
Mouthfeel has excellently-balanced carbonation to support a great body that’s truly effortless going down; no sign of any alcohol, and some nice sticky aspects only add to the soft finish.
As light a DIPA as I’ve encountered to date, but I’m a fan nonetheless. Intensely herbal and earthy, with a controlled, compact dankness I haven’t felt in many other brews, this one stands out nicely, and is really only brought down a notch or two due to lacking more impact in the favor profile. If KCBC were to collaborate with Sand City again, though, I definitely wouldn’t complain.

L - 3-finger bright white head atop a transparent yellow body, with visibly high carb. Looks like a lager!
S - melon, grapefruit, cotton candy, herb.
T - melon and grapefruit with a hint of cheesy funk. Cotton candy, earth, a touch of herbal hops. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body with aggressive carb.
O - A little too carbonated to fully enjoy. Hop profile is interesting, but the flavors clash somewhat. I enjoyed the beers I’ve tried from these 2 breweries more than this collab.
