DDH Double IPA w/ 100% Cryo Hops • Golden peachy haze in the glass, with an explosion of fresh orange & mango hop joose flavors throughout. Touch of lemon Starburst candy, touch of dank piney bitterness. 100% dry hopped (no kettle hops) with 100% lupulin-concentrated cryo hops (Citra, Mosaic & Simcoe) from our pals at Yakima Chief Hops. If that’s not a Whole Lotta Love, we don’t know What Is And What Should Never Be.

This was another beer from KCBC that I picked up from Cable Beverages a few weeks back. Love Led Zeppelin and the play on words but the liquid on the inside of the can was just as tasty and enjoyable as the name and label led (no pun intended) me to believe!

The hue to this was a muted goldenrod with the top lightening to match the lingering foam. Only a few spotty bits of lacing remained which was the only surprise the beer had in store for me. A very nice, smooth tropical and deep sugary presence was in the nose with candied orange pith and mango standing out softly, but for the duration. Amazingly smooth taste as the oats, wheat and barley gave this a wonderful earthy depth that balanced out the lemon starburst, gooseberry, heavy citrus, dank Mosaic and Simcoe, and fresh pine that left me wanting more from the first sip onward. Plenty of cracked wheat, chewiness, exhilarating pine, and citrus slickness in the aftertaste as the light carbonation complemented the flavors perfectly.

There's booze here and a bit of warming entered the mix as I finished this off. A few dark splotches of sediment settled at the bottom of my pint glass but otherwise, there wasn't anything wrong with this beer. Those were unexpected given that this was canned on 6/8 but maybe the month and a half allowed this to green out wonderfully. Regardless of how it aged, this was a winner from KCBC as it was my highest-rated beer that I've ever had from them. Keep up the good work, guys!

A: The beer is very hazy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a thin film of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of gooseberries are present in the nose along with notes of lime.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of gooseberries along with notes of lime and hints of lychee. No bitterness is perceptible
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is packed with lots of juicy aromas and flavors of hops and does a very good job at masking the alcohol from the taste.

This very fresh can is densely cloudy with an orange-tan hue. The 1 cm foam cap dissipates quickly. The aroma is orange and a whiff of mint.
The flavor is almost wholly, that of a glass of juice. Orange and grapefruit are most prominent.; pineapple follows.
The hop bitterness is low. The finish is slightly dry.
-very flavorful, juice.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Canned on 10/17/19.

Pours hazy orange with a smallish head and medium carbonation. Smell is mild, tropical fruit.

Taste is tropical juice and citrus zest bitterness.

Mouthfeel is light, dry. Overall, nice beer.

L: A dirty dark murky orange with a two finger frothy beige head, settling at an average rate to a nice cap and sticky lacing.

S: Orange zest dominates, with muted notes of pineapple, pine resin, and herbal qualities.

T: Follows the nose with more of a mineral spirit and smooth citrus vibe.

F: Full bodied but not overbearing. Juice like and drinkable. The Booze is there but well blended and tolerable.

O: This is a solid IPA from the collective. I love how the malt is light enough to appreciate some nuance in the hop profile.

Pours a hazy orange color. A half finger length head retains well and yields lacing.

Hops presence is very aromatic with notes of fruit then lightly pungent herbs. Notes of freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple, mango and berries. There is a slight touch of dank along with piny and grassy aromas.

Medium to full bodied, yet has a lightness to it that’s very drinkable. This is because it features a neutral dry cracker malt base instead of a thick doughy malt that other DIPAs tend to favor. This allows a wide range of hops flavors to dominate. Notes of light alcohol spiced fruit; pineapple, berries, mango, grapefruit, tangerine and oranges. Not too juicy or sweet, as a developing spicy middle palate brings about piny, grassy, and resiny flavors, along with a peppery bitterness. This plays well agains a moderate but tingly carbonation and a dry finish that has a bit of a spicy hops burn to it.

Another outstanding IPA from KCBC, one of my favorite local breweries.
