100% Idaho IPA w/ Flaked Potatoes
Our lead brewer Bobby (aka “Boss Tater”) spent the better part of his youth in Idaho--which explains a lot, including this beer. Hopped exclusively with Idaho 7 and Idaho Gem for aromas and flavors of cherry limeade and candied pineapple (basically, a roll of Life Savers), with Idaho-grown pilsner malt and Idaho flaked potatoes for the base. Light, pithy PNW bitterness on the finish.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Canned on 1/7/20. Gift from @mr-jj.
Pours hazy light golden with a medium head and medium to high carbonation. Smell is lemons and generic citrus.
Taste is more lemons and generic citrus, an ambiguous sort of fruitiness with a little hay.
Mouthfeel is dry and medium bodied. Overall, pretty good.

Pours a hazy light orange with fine, soapy head.
Smell is juicy and citrusy with notes of oranges, passionfruit and nectarine, with a grassy hint.
Taste is very citrusy, and quite juicy, with a soft, grassy bitterness. The citrus is almost tangy, giving this a nice crispness, and it's well balanced.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice, sort of NE but not quite IPA.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale dark yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that quickly settled down, leaving wisps of lacing on the surface, a thin collar around the edge, and some streaks of bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime, papaya, and stone fruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting out with flavors of lime and stone fruit, which transition towards notes of papayas with some pine in the finish. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, somewhat juicy, and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer really showcases the aromas and flavors of the Idaho 7 hops. It's like a hybrid between an American IPA and a New England IPA.
