From a stamp on a white rectangle on the label: "CANNED ON: 08/24/21"
Appearance: The body has a somewhat pinkish-orange color similar to the appearance of pink grapefruit. The body is opaque and changes color depending on how deep that area of the glass is, with darker shades of pink-orange in the middle and a lighter, duller orange color at the edges. It has a very dense head that is large, frothy, and white in color. It has excellent head retention and lacing. It looks a lot like a nitro pour.
Aroma: It has a fruity, berry-like aroma up front. It smells a bit like a berries and cream dessert. There are hints of raspberry, strawberry, and mulberry. The aromas are soft but nice.
Taste: Up front there is a lot of berry flavor, mostly raspberry and a bit of blackberry character. The flavors don't transform much across the palate. It has a light wheat flavor in the aftertaste but mostly it's just full of tart berry character.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-full bodied with a thickness that presents itself a bit heavy on the palate and then is cut by the tartness of the beer. It becomes exceedingly pleasant to drink due to its exceptional presence on the tongue. No perceivable bitterness and carbonation is perfect.
Overall: The can states that this is a "SOUR ALE WITH STRAWBERRY, WATERMELLON & LIME." The watermelon and lime didn't come through at all but there was a bit of a strawberry aroma on the nose. Mostly it just tasted like a berry bomb but what really made this beer was the mouthfeel. It had a great presence that helped elevate the flavors. I would definitely buy it again and I would recommend it.
