Purchased as a single 16oz can from The Blue Door for $1.40 (clearance item). Poured into a pils glass.
L - Yellow, with a slight haze. A two-finger sudsy pale white head tops it all.
S - Biscuit, lemongrass, and generic sweetness.
T - Same as the nose, but with the addition of cracker. White grape. Musty hay.
F - Light-bodied, with little carbonation. Oily. Drinkable.
O - Looks better than it is. This isn't for me, but I see why people buy it. Not gonna get this one again.

Pint on draught at a restaurant in Carrboro. Served in a sturdy mug. It pours a clear, bright straw yellow with a thin had and minimal lacing (I'm sure a can pour would have looked better). The nose is spot on: grains and hints of lemon peel, corn, and spice. It's tasty! Toasted bread, biscuit, corn meal, and a touch of lite citrus. There is some bready sweetness that is balanced by the crispness and subtle spiciness. As expected, it's very light and crisp with lively carbonation, and the 5.6% ABV is a plus; I expected less substance. Overall, this is a well-brewed, basic lager that hit the spot on a hot afternoon and paired well with a calamari appetizer.

Crests around a finger of white foam, looks dense but dissipates swiftly, lacing only appears with constant swirling of the glass, no stickiness. Excellent shine and luster to the coppery orange colored liquid, meager amount of bubbles which slowly meander aimlessly upwards. Sweet nose of golden honey, corn syrup, malt powder and ripe apricot to peach fruit scents, has sufficient herbal character and peppery spice to possess an acceptably stiff nostril presence. Medium-bodied, fills the mouth cheek to cheek but not necessarily heavy for it. Carbonation is weak, benefits from a slightly dry texture, needs more grip than fluidity. The corn and processed grains element recedes back, however, the ripe pit fruit to apple, cherry stays squarely center stage. The honey, molasses more proportionate, nice interplay with the drying texture. Not a lot to say here, it’s friendly and without overt flaws, the kind of beer you’d drink with friends who aren’t into craft beer, they and you could both enjoy it.

This is a good typical American lager. Goes down smooth and has a mild but refreshing flavor. I give this beer a 4 not because it is a really good beer but it is a good lager at a good price point.
