A bold, smooth-bodied concoction with dark roast coffee aromas give way to semi-sweet chocolate. We round out this velvety delight with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish.

5 oz nitro pour at the Columbia taproom. Appearance is pitch black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma and flavor feature coffee, dark roasted malts, earthy hops, a hint of caramel, and bitter dark chocolate. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Overall a great oatmeal stout which leans into the darker flavors.

16 ounce can poured into a coffee mug.
Small khaki head, nice moderately strong roasty aroma, mild roast and oats flavor with a hint of coffee, decent bitterness, smooth and soft, oaty but not creamy. Nice but straightforward.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Appearance: Very dark body, opaque. Khaki head.
Smell: Oaty, chocolatey, coffee-y. Smells like breakfast.
Taste: Nice and balanced -- sweet but also a bit of dark roast bitterness. Only docking points because the taste is slightly thin.
Feel: Light-bodied with moderate carbonation, appropriate for the style.
