Old meets new in this Dry Hopped Pilsner with a traditional malt base that is then hopped with Wakatu, Sultana, Waimea, and Idaho 7. This results in a very light and refreshing beer with notes of lemon and lime and green tea in the aroma.

Couldn't help but think of the theme to "There's Something About Mary" when having this as it seemed oddly familiar but not quite like anything I had before. Sure enough, this was a Pilsner that looked, felt, and tasted like an IPL as it was incredibly clean, quite biting, and nicely hopped - all at the same time, no less!
This had a nearly clear golden hue to it with plenty bubbles rising up in it and a ton of thick and foamy head topping it off. That stuck around for the duration as the lacing left behind was quite deep and extensive as well! Not the strongest of aromas but this was quite tangy, exotic, and full of varied hops. Tea spice, lemon and lime tang, ginger, floral notes, and tropical fruit filled the taste as this was backed up by potato chip-crispness and a zing that never quite let go after the first sip. Some brewed tea spiciness came through in the back once this fully warmed up as this almost needed a chaser of water to get it down, although I would have had another if it was here!
Oddly enough, this felt much stronger than it was in actuality because of the hops and twang that were present throughout. NIcely malted and balanced, this was not like any beer of this style that I had before, but would easily turn me on to it had I never had one before. Loved the label and the "Drink Fresh!" message but unfortunately, there wasn't a date on the bottom of the can. That was the only drawback to this beer as this was a lovely first impression from Cushwa that left a good impression on me, in more than one way!

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high white head that hardly died down and has very good retention properties.
S: Light to moderate aromas of floral hops and lime citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of tropical fruit and hints of black tea. A light amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, clean and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
