The pint can pours dark/black with clarity that is barely detectable. Head retention is relatively low, the lacing is light.
The flavor is high, caramelized barley malt, toasted grain & walnuts, dark roasted coffee beans, black-strap molasses. Bitterness is accompanied by a little tanginess on the finish.
A solid dry Irish Stout, more flavorful than most.

Appropriately stout appearance with a large beige head and very good lacing. Roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee, walnuts and dark chocolate. Similar observations on the taste buds: the roastiness, some coffee, some nuttiness, a little peaty, and chocolate that is more bittersweet than milk chocolate sweet. to round things out. Earthy, medium-to-full bodied, gently carbonated mouthfeel.
