Brewed with our favorite Pilsner malt and copiously hopped with Czech Saaz and German Perle, Bird Park has delicate malty flavors of fresh baked bread and crackers with hop aromas that are pleasantly floral with notes of lemon zest and subtle spice. After patiently lagering to perfection, Bird Park offers superb drinkability with a crispy, clean, and dry finish. Pairs well with any sunny day at your favorite park.

Clear yellow brew with adequate foam in the Piraat tulip. Aroma of red wine and a hint of old socks. Less carbonation than average with a medium and slippery body. Flavor is resiny with a redeeming note of green melon and just a slight malty sweetness. Other flavors are hard to pin down, but are not as easy on the palate. Slight bitterness and old fruit in the aftertaste. Overall this is on the peculiar side, though drinkable enough. From the 16 oz can purchased at the big box wine store. Not dated.

Is that a stork on the can? Well, this one didn’t deliver a baby, he got drunk off Bird Park instead. Eyes all red and flying into walls and stuff… He did not do his job. But we all have bad or average days - like this beer. It’s just average.

Some days mediocrity is good enough, my children. Seriously, don’t stress yourself too hard.

Snuck over to Windmill Farms for a lunch break from work, just to see if they had anything new since my last trip there. Came across this one, which I had before, giving a taster a 4 back on Nov. 23, 2018 and writing “Outstanding pilsner.” Untappd description was “Brewed with our favorite Pilsner malt and copiously hopped with Czech Saaz and German Perle, Bird Park has delicate malty flavors of fresh baked bread and crackers with hop aromas that are pleasantly floral with notes of lemon zest and subtle spice. After patiently lagering to perfection, Bird Park offers superb drinkability with a crispy, clean, and dry finish. Pairs well with any sunny day at your favorite park.” Looks like it was also a GABF winner in 2018. Sweet.

Poured a medium yellow clear color with eight (!) fingers of rocky white head. What a gusher. Surprisingly I didn’t see any bubbles underneath the head. Excellent spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled Saaz, fresh baked white bread, white cracker, dry grass, hay, earthy pilsner malt and light peppery spice. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted better than the nose. In order got Saaz, Noble hops, fresh baked white bread, white cracker, dry grass, hay, earthy pilsner malt, light peppery spice, lemon zest, floral and leafy green vegetable. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Even better than I remember. Just an outstanding pilsner. (Overall - 4.00)

Honey bread, biscuity malty, and hint of old-school, herbal hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a well-balanced, biscuity malty, subtle hint of honey, and hint of hoppy bitter finish. This is good and woefully underrated. Great crispyboi!

Thanks, Chris, Shane.

A little sweeter with more cereal and grain than ideal, there is honey, toast, grain, firm, citrusy lemony hops. Super clean with soft grain, lemon and lime with a touch of sweetness that lingers in the finish. Very tasty.

Pours a crystalline clear gold with white foam.

Grassy aroma, crisp and clean on the sip, with a sharp, pronounced hoppiness.

Easy drinker, nice and smooth.
