Nearly crystal clear and transparent brilliant yellow body. Good head production; decent retention and lacing.
The nose walks the line between a throwback WC IPA, with waves of pine, resin, and citrus, and a modern IPA, with strong dank tones and some tropical fruit.
Given the nose, the palate is a surprise. Very lively with plenty of sting, that initial hit fades quickly, becoming a light and watery experience. The flavor is dank, but not quite as dank as the nose threatened, and doesn't nearly translate the citrus and tropical notes as well. It's tasty and flavorful, but certainly a letdown given the potency of the nose. Moderate to strong bitterness, but it doesn't really stand out because of it.
This is a very pleasant WC IPA, and would be a welcome brew on tap locally.

Clear, golden amber body; tons of lively carbonation; thick and frothy white head; some rings of foam and lacing around the glass. Fine, spicy and herbal hop aroma; mildly pungent but also a tad of fruity sweetness. Mild malt bill flavor; lightly bready; moderate amount of hop bitterness. Light to medium in body; light stickiness; fairly dry throughout.
Bottom of can dating info: "100% DEAD 3/9/21". This is a relatively young west coast IPA, so I expected a bit more oomph in the smell and taste departments. As it stands, the beer still makes for a fine IPA. It's balanced and reasonably complex and drinks oh so well...

This has an attractively clear golden hue. The aroma was full of the berry notes that Mosaic is known for. There were more berry notes along with some nice pine and only a touch of malt upon drinking. A very nice bitter and crisp finish is making me drink it way too quickly. Lively carbonation and a medium body. Fantastic beer.

This pours a clear gold, west coast in appearance. A light aroma, grapefruit citrus and pine sap, and maybe a touch of pineapple? Regardless, it’s good!

Fresh can from lupulo Santa Cruz.
3/9 can date... somehow it’s only 4 days old from SoCal.
Clear bronze appearance.
Nose is tropical, pine, dank, blueberries.
Taste is same. Bitter backdrop.
Medium-crisp mouthfeel.
Overall: very nice. WCIPA will never die. This modern version has some hops that I find soft and/or new-age. Citra, mosaic, & strata don’t have the piney/grapefruit punch in the face of Cascade, Columbus, Chinook, simcoe etc...
Still awesome 100%

Glass: North Park 16.5-oz. Munique glass
Price: $21.99 for a mixed 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Nov. 17, 2020
Consumed: Nov. 19, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Oct. 21, 2020
Psyched to see North Park selling mixed 4-packs. I wish more breweries would do this, especially during these COVID times. North Park’s website called this, “So you thought West Coast IPA was dead? Well, guess what? It's baaaaaaaack! You better brace yourself for the zombie hop-apocalypse! Sorta Mostly Dead is a venerable undead army hopped with Citra, Mosaic Cryo, and Strata that brings it with a super dank profile of dense oily lupulin, grapefruit zest, fruity pebbles, fresh pine, blueberries, herbaceous nugs, and fresh melon! Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Head thinned up a little bit. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass, zig-zagging as it came up. Poor watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.00)
Didn’t get much in the nose initially but got more as I dug in there. In order got Mosaic, grapefruit zest, Citra, Fruity Pebbles, dank pine, herbal, grassy weed, Strata, mixed berry, nectarine, mango and hints of passionfruit. A lot more “West Coast” from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted slightly better than the nose. First thing that came to mind was sweetened iced tea. Also nectarine, Mosaic, Fruity Pebbles, floral, mango, mixed berry, grapefruit zest, Citra, peppery spice, dank pine, herbal, grassy weed, Strata and passionfruit. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Was back and forth on a few categories here and I may have slightly underrated this overall. Outstanding at least. (Overall - 4.00)

Sweet dank citrus, tropical hoppy, and pungent piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a clean, crisp, and well-balanced, tropical hoppy dank finish. Yum! This is outstanding! Very crushable! I have to pace myself so I don't drink it too fast...got to enjoy it!

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a somewhat fizzy, thin white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, grapefruit and faint light stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt with slight caramel, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, pine needles and mild dankness. Lingering pine and citrus rind finish. Medium bodied with sharp carbonation. A nice, well bittered West Coast style IPA. Interestingly, the aroma was very caramel forward, but there was little caramel in the taste, although the malt was sturdy and holds up well to the hops. Great hop bitterness kick and interesting hop herbal flavors, where Citra and Mosaic are clear notes. Fine piney and citrus finish. Well done.
