Paesanos Italian-style Pilsner is gently dry hopped with Saphir hops to evoke bright zesty lemon aroma with a hint of fresh cut herbs that cuts through its malty flaky bread crust backbone. Crispy, clean, and totally crushable!

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: Italian Pilsner
Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $16.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Feb. 25, 2022
Consumed: March 2, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Feb. 15, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (1/2)
Grabbed four 4-packs of North Park and two from Pure Project. Had a sample of Bill’s once on Oct. 11, 2019, giving it a 3.75 on Untappd. Not really enough to give a rating but I did. Untappd description was “Paesanos Italian-style Pilsner is gently dry hopped with Saphir hops to evoke bright zesty lemon aroma with a hint of fresh cut herbs that cuts through its malty flaky bread crust backbone. Crispy, clean, and totally crushable!”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see plenty of slow-moving bubbles coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass. Outstanding foggy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Saphir (love you), grass, corn, Shredded Wheat cereal, lemon, skunk, earthy pilsner malt, herbal, sourdough bread and chalk. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order go Saphir, grass, Shredded Wheat cereal, corn, skunk, earthy pilsner malt, herbal, lemon, sourdough bread, chalk and lingering black peppery spice. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall, better than the taster I had back on Oct. 11, 2019. (Overall - 4.00)
