Collaboration with Pure Project

We teamed up with our pals at Pure Project to bring you this murky jam session! With all collabs, we like to try some new things, so as a first time for us we sourced all the malts from Admiral Maltings and used their Admiral Pils, Clipper Oat Malt, and Patwin Raw Wheat. These exceptional malts helped build a smooth and creamy base for some rad hops! We used up nearly all of our remaining New Zealand Nectaron and paired that up with Vic Secret, Cashmere, and El Dorado that collectively meld into a juicy mélange of fresh pineapple, ripe watermelon, peach rings, zesty pine needles, and just a bit of darkness.

From a 16oz can, quaffing out in The 'Zebo.... Canned on 08DEC20, it has a cool goof on The Beatles Abbey Road album cover.

Color is a murky, muted straw hue. Has light carbo, and a fluffy, rocky white head which lasts decently. Aroma is a mix of pineapple, melon and peach. A nice blend of citrus. Has a medium body, with a light, airy character and some prickle.

Flavor has some biscuit and crackery malt action. It is like the nose in that there's pineapple, peach and melon, along with some lemon peel. Finishes on the dry side, with some pithy bitterness. Not bad.... Prosit!!

From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 26, 2020
Consumed: Dec. 30, 2020

Grabbed this and 10 other singles when I planned to go to Windmill Farms for two other 6-packs (I still got those). Was happy to see North Park (and Pure Project) beers at Windmill Farms. North Park’s website called it “We teamed up with our pals at Pure Project to bring you this murky jam session! With all collabs, we like to try some new things, so as a first time for us we sourced all the malts from Admiral Maltings and used their Admiral Pils, Clipper Oat Malt, and Patwin Raw Wheat. Interesting.

Poured a light golden murky color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled peach, nectarine, orange creamsicle, stone fruit, candied melon, pineapple, passion fruit, pine, lemon and herbal. For mentioned hops, got all that Nectaron (after looking up profile) and El Dorado up front with Cashmere next and lingering Vic Secret. Close to as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose initially, but still solid. In order peach, nectarine, peach blossom, stone fruit, orange creamsicle, candied melon, pineapple, passion fruit, orange juice, pine, lemon and herbal. Well, I think I like this Nectaron hop. Looking up the description, there seemed to be a lot of it. Also El Dorado and then Cashmere, with lesser Vic Secret. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Really liked this one and not just because it was from two of my four favorite breweries in San Diego. Loving that Nectaron hop and how it was used with El Dorado and the others. I’m sure the malts had some play too, but I have hardly any idea about malts yet. (Overall - 4.25)

A: The beer is hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lime are present in the nose along with hints of pineapple.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of honeydew melon and hints of peach.
M: It feels medium-bodied, smooth and a bit juicy are present in the nose along with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked the citrusy flavors of lime in this NEIPA. It was very easy to drink considering its strength.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow golden with a one finger rocky head. Aroma is oranges, grapefruit, lemon. Taste adds some zing to the juicy citrus, a buzzy bite, on top of a light bodied juicy brew.

Lightning and thunder outside but Raul don’t care.

This one is pleasing like Ana de Armas in a 2 piece on the beach. And then when I take it sip, it feels as if Ana just asked Raul if I can lather her shoulders and back. Yes, I think I will.

Not perfection, but just good. Simply just well and good!
