Got lucky to get this one in a lottery (although I think everyone may have gotten it too) after not getting the other one everyone wanted. Was labeled in an email as a “Wheated Imperial Stout with Indonesian Vanilla Beans, Roasted Macadamia Nuts, Toasted Coconut, Black Cocoa, Milk Sugar, and Sea Salt.”
Poured a very dark, almost pitch black color with one finger of fizzy tan head, which dissipated almost immediately. Calm setting underneath with no noticeable bubbles. Very bad watery lacing. Below average retention. (Sight - 2.75)
The first whiff was fantastic with toasted coconut and milk chocolate coming through making it a liquid Mounds Bar. Also coconut macaroon, chocolate syrup, vanilla bean ice cream, cocoa, roasted nuts and Cocoa Pebbles milk. Not quite as good out of the bottle and wasn’t expecting it to be. (Smell - 4.75)
Hot damn this was phenomenal on the tongue. Got Girl Scouts Samoa Cookie, coconut macaroon, milk chocolate, liquid Mounds Bar, vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate syrup, cocoa, Cocoa Pebbles milk and roasted nuts. Tasted nowhere near 13.5 pct. ABV. Wow. (Taste - 4.75)
Full body. Sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Just a tremendous pastry stout. So good and so smooth for 13.5 pct. Like a liquid Mounds Bar. (Overall - 4.75)
