Snuck over to North Park to grab a mixed 4-pack of new releases from the past two weeks. North Park’s website called it “Risen again, the dead have brought forth a double dry hopped west coast IPA with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Nectaron hops. Intense aromas of pineapple, passionfruit, pine, white grapes, lime, and some danky diesel.” Was looking forward to that hop combo.

Poured a pale yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see some bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Outstanding lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled a little bit of each mentioned hops - Citra, Nelson and lesser Nectaron. Also dank pine, white grape, papaya, passion fruit, red grapefruit, pineapple and floral. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted about as good as the nose, maybe not quite. More Nectaron than the nose. Also dank pine, Citra, Nelson, white grape, papaya, passion fruit, red grapefruit, lingering black pepper, pineapple and floral. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)

I think I underrated this overall, but this was at least outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)

Sweet stonefruit, white wine grape, fruity orange citrus, and a hint of piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a juicy, overripe stonefruit and subdued citrus hoppy piney vibe...the finish is more fruity than piney. This is an easy drinking crusher! For a single, it feels great on the palate. Good stuff!

Clear golden amber brew with plenty of foam in the Saint-Martin glass. Tangy and sprightly on the tongue. Billowing aromas of fruit with lime blossoms and ripe green melon coming to mind. Flavors of pineapple, lime peel. A dose of acidity of balance the malt, followed by the modest bitter aftertaste.

Brewed with Citra and "double dry hopped with Nelson and Nectaron." It's sensationally fruity and aromatic, and if Nectaron is on display here, it's a new favorite hop for me. In any case, this is my new favorite beer from North Park. From the 16 oz can purchased from Bine & Vine.
