Triple IPA - New England

To build this massive, pillowy, oat-laden Triple IPA we broke out the particle accelerator and dumped in a bunch of Citra Incognito, a heap of Citra Cryo, and then triple dry hopped it with Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin! Layers of tangerine citrus, mango, white grapes, passionfruit, gooseberry, peaches, and an intensely dank fresh hop bite.

Went over to North Park just for this beer. Was looking forward to it the moment it came out but I had to work that day, so pushed it back one more. Grabbed a 4-pack. Sonny wanted in, so I reluctantly gave him two. Their email for the release called it “To build this massive, pillowy, oat-laden Triple IPA we broke out the particle accelerator and dumped in a bunch of Citra Incognito, a heap of Citra Cryo, and then triple dry hopped it with Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin! Poured a light-to-medium hazy gold color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled Citra, Nelson, Galaxy, tangerine, papaya, passion fruit, orange juice, peach, gooseberry, white grape, viney berry and a touch of body odor. Not quite as good from the can, but close. I think some pineapple came through in the can. (Smell - 4.50)

Two things that came to mind on the first sip. One, I was getting all that 10 pct. ABV. Two, this reminded me of a Monkish hazy TIPA. In order got Citra, Nelson, Galaxy, passion fruit, grapefruit rind, peach, tangerine, orange juice, gooseberry, white grape, viney berry, body odor, dank pine and papaya. (Taste - 4.50)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. (Feel - 4.50)

This was as good as I hoped it would be. Just a world-class hazy TIPA. (Overall - 4.50)
