3/15/2022 Batch! Sweet and piney, tropical hoppy, grapefruit citrus, and mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a refreshingly balanced and clean...and darn near crisp, piney-dank hoppy bitter finish. I mean...dare I say a West Coast DIPA is crushable!? Maybe my palate is off from Triple Season, but this is so clean it drinks like a very flavorful single...hits all the notes. I have to pace myself from drinking this too quickly! Ha! This is well done!

Glass: North Park 16.5-oz. Munique glass
Price: $21.99 for a mixed 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: May 2, 2021
Consumed: May 2, 2021
Misc.: Canned on April 27, 2021
Snuck over to North Park to grab a mixed 4-pack of new releases from the past two weeks. They were out of one of the ones I wanted but they let me take two of one and I picked this one since it was the one I was looking forward to the most. Their website called it “Woohoo! Our 400th Batch!! To celebrate this most momentous milestone we brewed a super duper dank West Coast Double IPA double dry hopped with boatloads of Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Strata, and Nelson Sauvin! All the pine forest, passionfruit, tangerine, and blueberry danky dank you could ask for!”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass (faster) and the sides (slower). Decent watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled Mosaic, blueberry, earthy malt, pine, mango, Strata, grapefruit rind, Nelson, white grape and wet grass. A tad better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a tad better than the nose but initially seemed a little green. Got Mosaic, blueberry, earthy malt, black peppery spice, dank pine, mango, Strata, grapefruit rind, Nelson, white wine and wet grass. Fairly smooth for 8.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
This one really grew on me each sip. Just an outstanding West Coast DIPA. (Overall - 4.25)
