Snuck over to North Park to grab a mixed 4-pack of new releases from the past few weeks. Was looking forward to this one. Their website called it a “Double India Pale Ale brewed with rye, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Citra Incognito, and double dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Southern Cross, and Citra Cryo.”

Poured a medium yellow clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see bubble streams coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. Decent spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)

Smelled Nelson, Simcoe, tangerine, melon, pine, grapefruit rind, Citra, onion and garlic. Even better than the can. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted a little better than the nose. Got Nelson, Simcoe, tangerine, melon, pine, grapefruit rind, Citra, onion, garlic, cat piss and black pepper. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Just an excellent West Coast Double IPA. (Overall - 4.25)

Sweet white wine grape, tropical hoppy, slightly malty, hint of citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical hoppy, malty-sweet, grapefruit citrus, and piney bitter swallow. This finishes a tad dry and some lingering bitterness comes out as it warms, but it is still tasty. Good!
