Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $23.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Aug. 13, 2021
Consumed: Aug. 13, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 3, 2021; Split 4-pack with Sonny
Snuck over to North Park to grab a 4-pack of this and a 4-pack of Double Mosaic Robot Fighter to split with Sonny (and eventually Kevin). North Park’s website called this “You know when your favorite jam comes on and the beat is hitting in perfect unison and harmony? Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden hazy color with three fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
El Dorado jumped out on the nose, followed by bubblegum, mango, pineapple, pulpy orange juice, lemon wafer cookie, that HBC 586, guava, lime and Cashmere. A little better out of the can with the addition of peach and vanilla. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about as good as the nose. El Dorado stood out, followed by bubblegum, mango, guava, pineapple, pulpy orange juice, orange blossom, vanilla, lemon wafer cookie, HBC 586, lime, peach and some Cashmere. The 8.5 pct. ABV was well hidden. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Somehow I think I overrated this overall but it was excellent. (Overall - 4.25)
