Snuck over to North Park to grab a 4-pack of this West Coast anniversary IPA and a hazy anniversary TIPA. The email description for this was a “Triple Dry Hopped West Coast Double IPA with Citra Incognito, Centennial, Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Strata.” Expecting everything and more for this bad boy.
Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. Outstanding watery, foggy lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
For the smell got Citra, Mosaic, Strata and Simcoe initially. Specifically grapefruit, lemon zest, strawberry, tangerine, pine, dank weed, lime, papaya and spicy black pepper. Even better out of the can with some mango added. (Smell - 4.25)
Damn. Tasted about as good as the nose. Hardly any bitterness until the end. In order got Citra, grapefruit, pine, dank weed, grass, Simcoe, papaya, Mosaic, tangerine, mango, Strata, lime, lemon, strawberry and black peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Just a tremendous IPA. So smooth for a West Coaster. Would like to try some more. (Overall - 4.25)

Following Muntz is hard, but this pulled it off. Fruity, fragrant, pungent, clean and bitter. Citrus, peach, a little grape, melon, the faintest malt character that's more straw/bread than caramel. Bitter, clean, lovely.

Sweet tropical hoppy, orange-tangerine citrus, and herbal piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a clean and balanced, citrus hoppy, and piney bitter finish...as it warms, the hoppy bitter bite lingers on the back of the throat. This feels great on the palate and is a really good example of a westie dipa...good stuff!
