Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $26.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Aug. 20, 2021
Consumed: Aug. 28, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 17, 2021; Split 4-pack with Sonny
Snuck over to North Park to grab a 4-pack of this hazy anniversary TIPA and a West Coast anniversary IPA. The email description for this was a “Triple dry hopped hazy triple India pale ale with Citra Incognito, Citra Cryo, Citra, Nelson, Nectaron, and Galaxy.” I’d be shocked if this doesn’t come up to at least a 4.5 for me.
Poured light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see just a few bubbles creeping toward the top of the glass. Perfect foamy layered lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled sharp Citra, Nelson, grapefruit rind, white grape, gooseberry, Nectaron, peach, passion fruit, Galaxy, pineapple, floral, tangerine, Tang and nectarine. Tons of orangeish qualities from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted Citra, Nelson, grapefruit rind, white grape, gooseberry, peach, passion fruit, Galaxy, Nectaron, pineapple, tangerine, Tang, nectarine, floral, lemon wafer cookie, orange creamsicle and orange blossom. Super smooth for 10 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Just another banger from North Park. Might need to get some more of this. (Overall - 4.50)

Thanks, Chris, Shane.
Well executed, good even, but it was in a tough crowd, fighting against Muntz and the NPBC TDH WCIPA. Massively sweet, juicy and fruity with loads of citrus, pineapple, peach, mango, a little passionfruit and some grape. Notes of coconut are present too. The palate is too sweet for my liking, and lacking in any bitterness that could temper the sweetness. Alcohol is also noticeable. Decent.

Sweet tropical hoppy, white wine grape, stonefruity, and orange-grapefruit citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical fruity, orange-tangerine citrus hoppy, and ruby red grapefruit citrus bitter finish. As it warms, the TDH bitter bite starts to let you know that it is there...starts to linger prominently on the back of the throat. I actually like the hopburn here, but I can see how it might be a bit much for some. This is nice and soft on the palate...outstanding!
