Collaboration with Other Half
If you can dream it then you can achieve it and our very first collaboration with our friends at Other Half Brewing is no longer a dream! It is reality and we are happy to present to you "Daydream State of Mind" Double Dry Hopped Imperial Oat Cream IPA. We borrowed the legendary "daydream" treatment then combined it with an absurd amount of Strata, Nectaron, Citra, and Idaho 7 hops! Mouthwatering tasting notes of tropical pineapple, tangy passion fruit, citrusy lemon, and ripe strawberry permeate throughout the entire sip. The body and mouthfeel are both delightfully dreamy, as you can probably imagine, while the finish is a perfect combination of sweet, creamy, and hoppy. One sip of this one and it is off to daydream land you go!

2024-version on-tap at Bankers Hill location. Milky-golden haze on the pour with minimal head. The nose leads with grass, berries, lemon, grapefruit, and pineapple. Not as explosively hoppy on the palate as expected, more balanced and subtle with a pleasant oat-y body, still somewhat chalky from the dry hopping though. Not sure if my expectations were just too high on this one, its good to me. But not more than that.

Snuck over to North Park to grab some of their newer releases. Was looking forward to this collaboration with Other Half. North Park’s website called it “If you can dream it then you can achieve it and our very first collaboration with our friends at Other Half Brewing is no longer a dream! Poured a light golden hazy color with four fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect foamy-to-foggy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
First thing I thought on the smell was how dank it was. Got Strata, dank weed, grass, berry, grapefruit, pineapple, Nectaron, nectarine, peach, passion fruit, Citra, lemon zest and pine. About the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Strata and Nectaron, followed by Citra and lesser Idaho 7. Specifically dank weed, grass, berry, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, nectarine, peach, lemon zest, pine, floral, green pepper and lingering spice. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was about as good as I could have hoped. Glad I picked one up. (Overall - 4.25)
