We are big fans of our good pal Zack and his delicious West Coast IPAs so you know we had to collab on something clear and thus we present to you "Slice-Fu!" DDH West Coast IPA hopped with Strata, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic Incognito, Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, and Nelson. This little slice of heaven is like sipping on a hoppy mix of blueberries, oranges, and strawberries along with copious amounts of pine, dankness, and resin to remind you that West Coast IPA will never die. Super clean and hella crispy with a deliciously dry, moderately bitter finish. We love this one, a lot, so make sure you get your piece of the "pie" before it's gone!

From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 5, 2022

Snuck over to North Park to pick up my BA Macaroons Before Dying beer and a couple other 4-packs. North Park’s website called it “We are big fans of our good pal Zack and his delicious West Coast IPAs so you know we had to collab on something clear and thus we present to you "Slice-Fu!" Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. Excellent foggy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Fruity Mosaic jumped out on the nose. Also rose blossom, floral, strawberry, Strata, guava, mango, dank resin, pine, Simcoe, black pepper, tangerine, papaya and Nelson on the very backend. About the same from the can with the addition of some earthy malt. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about the same as the nose. In order got Mosaic, rose blossom, floral, strawberry, Strata, dank resin, pine, weed, skunk, Simcoe, black pepper, bitter tangerine rind, papaya, hints of aspirin and Nelson on the very backend. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, dry, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was an excellent West Coast IPA, which I would expect from these two breweries. (Overall - 4.25)

Sweet tropical hoppy, white wine grape, and piney mosaic-dank nose on this one! Yowza! Almost perfect westie aromatics here! Taste follows with a super clean, hoppy and piney bitter finish. I mean...the hop expression here is just outstanding...each one plays its part and makes it self known in a balanced way. This is just an awesome example of the new school type of west coast ipas that I have fallen love with. Fantastic!

Canned 04 jan. Thanks, Chris, Cassidy.
A clear light yellow with a dense white head. The nose is a modern WCIPA. Fruity, bright, with Strata adding a mild dankness, Simcoe citrus notes and Mosaic pine. Mild peach and melon. The palate opens focused and on-point, with tropical fruit, pine and a dank weed like note. Strata character is clear on the mid-palate, with it's overripe fruity, almost fermented fruit like notes, dank and bright. Jackfruit and passionfruit. Drying, bitter, clean, leaning heavily on a blend of fruit and dank. Lovely.

2+ week old can into an imperial nonic pint.
L: Pours light golden with 1 finger of white medium-density head with good retention and left limited mixed lacing.
S: Nose seems Mosaic heavy, dank in the lead with berries in tow. More tropical notes show as the beer warms.
T: Follows the nose incredibly well. Tropical notes have more prominence on the taste than the nose. Finishes with medium bitterness and a hint of acidity, both linger and drys the palate.
O: Low bodied with medium-high carbonation, thin and tingly on the tongue, slick on the swallow.
Really nice WCIPA whose profile is closer to OG recipes inititially, then starts to shift towards modern ones. Greatly enjoyed this collab, hope it sees future batches (like The Dank Dont Die collab with Cellarmaker).
