Snuck over to North Park to pick up three 4-packs and was looking for Bourbon Barrel-Aged Hazelnut Mocha Before Dying, which on Untappd said was there. Untappd description of this beer called for “2018 Vintage Pierpont's Reserve Imperial Porter Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels.” Yummy.

Poured a very dark, almost black color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki tan frothy head when I got it. Could see a few bubbles creeping toward the top of the glass. Excellent spiderweb lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled vanilla, rye whiskey, leathery oak, caramel, toffee and lingering spice. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted a little better than the nose. Was surprised at how smooth it was for 11.8 pct. ABV. Got vanilla, rye whiskey, leathery oak, lingering spice, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, semi-char wood and Raisinets. (Taste - 4.25)

Full body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long warming finish. (Feel - 4.75)

This one really grew on me. Excellent overall. (Overall - 4.25)
